Quick Start Guide

When you launch the program for the first time, it opens the Assistant - a two-step tool for creating documents from ready-made templates. The templates come with the program.

Choosing a Document Type (Step 1 of the Assistant)

At the first step you choose a design for your Disc Cover document. The program offers a number of designs organized in categories depending on the disc's content: music, video, data or other. The selected data type will be used at Step 2 for importing.

Use the drop-down list at the top left corner of the Assistant window to pick up a category. The names of designs in this category will appear in the list below. To view all the designs in all categories, choose "All" in the drop-down list. If you click on the name of a design you will be able to see how it looks like in the preview window to the right.

If the chosen design can be applied to several disc elements - such as the disc label, CD case cover or other, you will see the respective icons at the top of the preview window. Click on an icon to view how the design will look on this element.

Click Next to proceed to Step 2.

Importing a List of the Disc Contents (Step 2 of Assistant)

Depending on the category chosen at Step 1, the program will suggest the appropriate data source. For example, if you have chosen a design from the "Music" category, it will display your iTunes library and playlists; if you have chosen a design from the "Photo" category, you will see your iPhoto library.

If you have chosen the "General" or "Blank" category at Step 1, Step 2 will be skipped.

Click Finish to quit Assistant and get into the editing mode.

Modifying your Document

Most likely you will want to do some of the following changes to your design after the Assistant:

Printing

Click the Print toolbar button (or press Cmd+P) to bring up the Print dialog and start printing. There you can preview your document before printing. If necessary, select paper from the list at the top. You can print on plain paper, special label paper or directly on the disc (if your printer supports this functionality).

When done, click the Next button, the system Print dialog will open. At this stage you can change the printer settings and start printing.

Note: It is recommended to calibrate your printer before printing. If you have not done this yet, do this using the File/Calibrate Printer menu or the Calibration button in the Print dialog.
