Saving your movie to a QuickTime file

You can save your movie to a QuickTime file. This is an advanced topic.

To save your movie to a QuickTime file

1 Construct your movie by adding pictures and configuring it as desired.
2 Click on Make Movie in the toolbar.
3 If the settings dialog appears, choose appropriate options (see choosing when to show the settings dialog) and click OK.
4 Select the QuickTime icon at the top of the dialog.
5 Choose one of the major formats or else Custom.
6 If you chose Custom, select the desired video and audio codecs by clicking on the Video and Audio buttons.
7 If you chose Custom, also select the desired size in pixels of your movie. The pixel size must match the aspect ratio of your movie (see choosing standard or widescreen aspect ratio for an existing slide show).
8 Choose whether to export your movie at high quality or as a faster export. The default is high quality. Using faster export may result in inferior video quality.
9 Click the Export button.

Depending on available memory and the speed of your computer, the export may take some time. You must make sure that there is enough space on your hard drive too.
