Setting the timing of the slide show

You can set control the timing of your slide show by choosing how long it takes for successive pictures appear in the slide show.

You can also control how long pictures take to fade from one to the next.

You can also control how long music takes to fade from one song to the next, how long the fade out is at the end of the movie for music, and whether the music will repeat itself to fill the duration of the slide show.

Finally, you can control whether the pictures are fit to the length of your music.

To control the timing of your slide show

1 Click on the Settings... toolbar button or choose File > Document Settings... from the menu.
2 Select the Timing tab in the settings dialog.
3 Select either the total length or per picture time. Selecting one of these two items will change the other item depending on how many pictures you have and the picture transition time.
4 If you have music, you can optionally check the fit pictures to music. If you do this, a recommendation will appear if you need to add more pictures or remove pictures.
5 Select your desired picture transition time. The default is 1 second.
6 Select the time to cross fade between songs if there is more than one. The default is 3 seconds.
7 Select the time to fade out the music at the end of the slide show. The default is 4 seconds.
8 Check or uncheck repeat music. This option has no effect if you have chosen to fit your pictures to the music. Otherwise it will cause the music to repeat to fill the total length of the slide show.
