Sending your movie to iDVD

You can send your movie to iDVD. You must have iLife '05 installed.

To send your movie to iDVD

1	Construct your movie by adding pictures and configuring it as desired.

2	Click on Make Movie in the toolbar.

3	If the settings dialog appears, choose appropriate options (see choosing when to show the settings dialog) and click OK.

4	Select the iDVD icon at the top of the dialog.

5	Select your desired movie format. If your movie is configured to be widescreen, you will see two additional options for HD DV formats. These options will only appear if you also have iLife '05 installed.

6	Select the desired radio button to add the movie to an existing iDVD project or create a new one.

7	If you choose to create a new project, click the Choose New Project button to indicate where the new project will be created. It is recommended that you save it in your Movies folder.

8	Click the Choose button to indicate where the movie will be saved. It is recommended that you save it in your Movies folder.

9	Click the Export button.

Depending on available memory and the speed of your computer, the export may take some time. You must make sure that there is enough space on your hard drive too.

After the export is finished, the movie will be sent directly to iDVD.

In most cases when you view it in QuickTime Player, the exported movie will not play back at high quality and it will appear distorted. This is normal. iDVD will treat the movie properly and the end result will be of optimal quality.
